Where do I begin? Lauren and Matthew’s wedding day was every bit romantic, elegant and ethereal. As an Atlanta, Georgia Wedding Photographer, having the honor to photograph their wedding at Peachtree Christian Church was a dream come true. Lauren’s wedding dress was a stunning Satin organza princess ballgown with hand appliqued 3-D embroidered flowers. It was the first dress she tried on. Every dress she tried on after Evermore by Alyne paled in comparison.  Lauren’s lovely team of ladies helped her into her gown. Once in her gown and everything was just so, it was time to welcome her father into the bridal suite for a sweet moment together.  It’s safe to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Lauren and Matthew first connected with the physical beauty of the church and fell in love with the rich history. Before their wedding, Lauren visited several times and was drawn to the warmth and thoughtfulness put into each sermon. During their marriage counseling sessions, Lauren and Matthew bonded with Reverend Bell as he took the time to explore their relationship. Reverend Bell is also an incredibly talented musician, having studied and performed all across Europe, he delighted them with his many colorful stories.

Selecting which images to use for their blog post was difficult as there are so many wonderful portraits I want to share. With this gorgeous couple in such a dazzling sanctuary, the images are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever had the honor of creating.

Lauren & Matthew’s reception was held at the beautiful St. Ive’s Country Club in Johns Creek, Georgia.   Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with drinks and hand passed hors d’oeuvres.  To kick off the enchanting and entertaining evening, Lauren and Matthew shared their first dance together as husband and wife. Lauren’s bond with her father was beautiful and something I was moved by throughout their special day. The groom sharing a dance with his sweet mother.Before the sun finally set over the greens and the trees, we walked outside for sunset portraits. Lauren and Matthew’s wedding reception was one for the books! To Lauren and Matthew, thank you both from the bottom of my heart for welcoming Chase and I into your lives to capture this special time in your lives! We had a blast with you guys, your families and friends as we shot your wedding day and are truly grateful. Getting to know you has been wonderful and we wish you nothing but the best as enter this new chapter in life, hand in hand.
