One of our most recent weddings was Karmen & Dylan Cody’s outdoor Georgia wedding. Karmen contacted me right after getting engaged and from the start I knew she was my kind of bride. As she described it, everything about her wedding would have meaning. There’s nothing more perfect than that, to me. We shot their engagements in the fall and right away I fell in love with this gorgeous couple! As an Atlanta, Georgia wedding photographer, it’s always a nice change to get out of the city for a wedding. Karmen & Dylan’s wedding was every bit charming, beautifully simple and a touch shabby-chic.

Getting Ready

Karmen had her mother, maid of honor, and matron of honor help her get into her wedding dress.

Bridal Portraits

Karmen and I spent a few minutes on her bridal portraits before starting the photos with the bridesmaids. She was such a beautiful bride!

Bridesmaids Portraits

Keeping with the sweet summertime theme, the bridesmaids were in beautiful blush convertible dresses. Two of the girls bridesmaids wore stunning sparkly dresses.

Groom + Groomsmen Portraits

The groom and groomsmen wore vibrant blue suits with neutral toned vests and ties. Dylan and his brother wore special made cufflinks with photos of their late father. What a sweet touch… 

First Look

Karmen and Dylan shared a few sweet moments during their first look. 

The look on Dylan’s face was everything… and Karmen’s reaction to his reaction was priceless!

Ceremony

This special bench in the front of the pews was reserved in memory of Dylan’s late father and Karmen’s biological mother.

Sunset Portraits

After their ceremony, Karmen and Dylan spent some time getting portraits taken at sunset. It was a bit overcast that day so there wasn’t much color to be seen but the lighting was nothing less than perfect!
