As an Atlanta, Georgia wedding photographer, I had the privilege of shooting at so many beautiful venues in 2019. As I reflected on the year, I decided to put together a list of my top 5 favorite Atlanta wedding venues from 2019. With each venue, I’ve highlighted why I picked it for this list.
First on my list of favorite wedding venues of 2019 is The Greystone Estate. Chase and I have had the privilege of capturing multiple weddings here and each time it gets better and better.
This spacious bridal suite is EVERYTHING! It has multiple rooms, tons of natural light and gorgeous furniture. A photographers dream.
The mountain views surround The Greystone Estate and provide a beautiful backdrop from multiple spots on the grounds.
The reception space is unique and charming. The amount of windows here really give you a feeling of being nestled in the mountains.
Between its light and airy bridal suite, the view of the north Georgia mountains, and the stunning reception space, you just can’t go wrong hosting your wedding at The Greystone Estate.

Another top venue from 2019 for us was The Biltmore Ballrooms in downtown Atlanta. This was our first time shooting at this venue and it didn’t disappoint!
We opted to use The Imperial Ballroom for getting ready photos. The light from the stunning large windows is the perfect backdrop. We could have stayed in this one spot all day and been totally happy.
The Biltmore Ballrooms also has a cute little area for the bride and bridesmaids to hang out before the first look and ceremony.
One of the absolute best aspects of this venue is the courtyard. It’s just the right size for gorgeous outdoor shots. We ended up using this space for the first look, bride and groom portraits, and wedding party photos.
We had a few moments where a person walked by and a car drove into the shot, but personally, it didn’t take away from the beauty. And our wedding coordinator was so awesome at keeping those situations to a minimum.
Another gem at The Biltmore Ballrooms is the building itself. When shooting in the courtyard, you get a slight hint of the building behind it. We used the building for group photos of the wedding party and I just love how they turned out!
Another spot we loved about The Biltmore Ballrooms was this cute little patio balcony that overlooks an urban Atlanta street. Our bride and groom popped out to share a quick toast before their ceremony started.
The Georgian Ballroom at The Biltmore is a photographers dream. Our couple used this ballroom for their reception space. The up-lighting in each arch added a nice glow that I would recommend to anyone hosting their wedding at The Biltmore Ballrooms.
The chandeliers are to DIE for!!! It adds such an elegant touch to the atmosphere.
There are many reasons we loved The Biltmore Ballrooms, I could go on and on. If it fits your style, hosting your wedding at this ethereal venue is a decision you and your guests are sure to love. We will be back in June for our second wedding at The Biltmore Ballrooms and we can’t wait.

We had the opportunity to shoot at Capital City Club Brookhaven in 2019 when one of our couples hosted their reception at the venue. To say we were in love is an understatement. It’s ethereal, it’s classy, and it’s one of the most unique venues we’ve ever shot at.
The view from the front of the venue is STUNNING. We used the greens in front for our group wedding party shots before starting on their sunset portraits!
The back of Capital City Club Brookhaven is a beautiful golf course. The back of the building and the golf course makes for perfect backdrops for wedding portraits.
Like the outside of the venue, the inside is elegant and is sure to wow your guests.
What’s not to love about Capital City Club Brookhaven? I’ve searched for this answer and can’t find a single unloveable aspect to mention here.

Ashton Gardens in Atlanta is on this list of our top venues for many reasons. But I’m going to highlight my top 3 reasons we loved AG in 2019.
The first reason Aston Gardens was a 2019 favorite was the getting ready space for the bride and groom. The bridal suite has a wall lined with mirrors, high stools, and two rooms with couches, hooks for dresses, and restrooms.
The grooms room isn’t quite as large as the brides but it’s big enough. Our groom and his groomsmen decided to play poker while the girls were getting ready.
The second reason we put Ashton Gardens on this list is the amount of variety when it comes to photography spots. Although it’s not a giant property, the amount of useable areas for photos makes it feel larger.
The front of the venue offers a gorgeous walk-way with lush greens on each side that leads you to the chapel.
These doors are drool-worthy… right?!
The ceremony space at Ashton Gardens is breathtaking. I would venture to say it’s one of the main draws for couples who book their weddings here. The large windows at the front of the chapel offer views you just have to see in person to fully appreciate.
Ok, I said I was only going to mention 3 reasons it’s a favorite venue but I couldn’t mention Ashton Gardens without highlighting the reception space! Again, the windows really add so much to this large room.
The space offers a large staircase where the bride, groom, and wedding party can make their grand entrance. There’s also a small patio off to the side of the reception space with a beautiful little fountain that adds another little touch of charm.
Its accommodations along with the stunning views will keep Ashton Gardens at the top of my list of favorite wedding venues.

The Atrium in Norcross, Georgia is our final venue on this list of 2019 favorites. A secret garden tucked away in downtown Norcross. The garden ceremony space, the fountain, and the incredible floor to ceiling windows all put The Atrium above others we’ve had the privilege to shoot at in 2019.
The gardens at The Atrium is my personal favorite aspect of the venue. The greens are delicious. The string lights that drape over the fountain create a whimsical atmosphere. It sets the scene in the most romantic way.
We loved using the garden area for wedding party shots with this fun group!
The garden and fountain area flow perfectly into the ceremony.
At the front of the ceremony sits a beautiful Italian stone gazebo. You’re able to dress it up with flowers as our couple did for their ceremony or leave it as is.
Not only is the garden a gorgeous spot for bride and groom portraits, but it’s the perfect backdrop for wedding guests to get that IG worthy shot of themselves. 😉
We absolutely love the style inside of The Atrium. It reminds me of The Great Gatsby and the Roaring ’20’s!
What’s not to love about such a charming secret garden? We love it!
