2022 was a busy, beautiful year for weddings and engagements! As a Georgia Wedding Photographer, I have the chance to shoot in so many incredible places around the state! In 2022, I traveled to new places and established new favorites and “go-to’s” for engagement sessions! Today, I’m sharing my favorite spots around Atlanta and North Georgia for engagement shoots!

#1 University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia

What I love: I mean, first of all, GO DAWGS! I’m just in love with this campus and the vibe of the Classic City are the perfect setting for light and airy engagement photos! Bonus points if you and/or your partner attended college at UGA!

The University of Georgia Chapel is a must. The large white columns are grand and stunning. I’ve had the privilege to shoot a handful of weddings at the chapel and this spot is always a winner.

When I tell y’all the gardens on campus are a dream, I’m not kidding! In the summer, this spot is one of my favorite places to be!

I’m praying to have a few couples select Athens as their engagement session location this Spring and Summer! Love, love, love!

#2 Downtown Roswell, Roswell, Georgia

What I love: This area is perfect for my light and airy vibe! It offers a handful of settings that are romantic, classic, and bright! No matter the time of year, downtown Roswell has been a 10/10 location for my engagement sessions!

There’s a quaint little park nestled in downtown Roswell that I’m obsessed with. It has this gorgeous fountain that bring the perfect amount of dreamy vibes for an engagement shoot!

Downtown Roswell is full of historic homes that are perfect for bringing a touch of southern charm to your shoot. I love using the large columns in front of this historic house. Light and airy but bold and classic. Chefs kiss!

Lastly, there’s just enough open area with lush trees in downtown Roswell. We don’t always need rolling fields for miles to have some nice green moments in your session!

#3 Peachtree Duck Pond, Atlanta, Georgia

What I love: It’s an easy to access location, gorgeous scenery, perfect for a spring or summer engagement shoot! There’s a small reservation fee to pay with the neighborhood but it’s well worth it to have your engagement images captured here!

This is a fabulous location all year round but my favorite time to go is in spring and summer! The greens are like velvet and with the flowers in bloom, it’s like stepping inside of a Claude Monet Painting.

There’s a cute little pond (hence the name of the park) that flows through it which adds a romantic vibe.

The bridges are a cute little whimsy element that makes this place pop! 10/10 location for your spring and summer engagement session!

#4 Cator Woolford Gardens, Atlanta, Georgia

What I love: Remaining in my top favorite locations for another year is this beautiful garden venue nestled in Atlanta. Cator Woolford Gardens has held a special place in my heart for its incredible grand staircase, evergreens and colorful gardens! It’s always a treat to shoot at Cator Woolford Gardens and I look forward to going back soon!

#5 Winn Park, Atlanta, Georgia

Last but never ever least, Winn Park. I was first introduced to this park by one of my couples in the fall of 2020. I’ve been shooting here regularly ever since!

This park has so much to offer for an engagement session. The stone pathways, the water elements, luscious greenery year round, what’s not to love? I captured lots of engagement sessions at Winn Park in 2022 and I know it’ll be a big hit for my 2023 couples, too!
