As an Atlanta, Georgia wedding photographer, Westside Provisions is one of my favorite spots to photograph my clients engagement portraits. Gabby and Johnny elected to have their portraits taken at Westside Provisions for the urban feel and airy vibes. These two were an absolute joy to get know and capture! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this December at the Piedmont Room.

Gabby and Johnny’s Westside Provisions Engagement

Gabby and Johnny met during their freshman year while attending Florida State University. Gabby’s car battery had died so she approached Johnny in an attempt to find jumper cables. They became good friends, getting to know each other over the next two and a half years.

When asked about their first date, the couple disagree about what it was. I found this story endearing and amusing. 😉

“Johnny thinks that it was in the beginning of our Sophomore year because we were hanging out and driving around campus, got hungry, stopped at an Applebees and shared an appetizer where he paid. I was not aware that it was a date, but Johnny swears this was our first date. But then he will ask me when our first date actually was, and I couldn’t tell you, we just kind of started hanging out more just us and dating. The only official date that I can remember was Valentines Day at Carraba’s Sophomore year. Johnny officially asked me to be his girlfriend at a Zac Brown Band concert Sophomore year towards the end of February that year. I’m pretty sure I bugged him a bunch about the status of our relationship and he finally said I was his girlfriend.” – Gabby

She finds his loyal nature charming and he adores her big heart and beautiful eyes. And I am completely in love with the fine art feel of this little spot in the image below! Gabby, you rocked that serious look so effortlessly!
